Meet Your Scuba Expert

Discover the journey of a dedicated scuba diving instructor and marine geoscientist. Explore my professional background, expertise in marine science, and commitment to ocean conservation.

With a passion for the ocean and a commitment to education, I have dedicated my career to becoming a leading scuba diving instructor and marine geoscientist. My journey began with open water scuba training at 13 years of age. Growing up in Richmond VA diving was a occassional opportunity at camps and vacations until my family moved to Southern California started diving regularly, working in dive shops, and traveling to dive. I headed to Florida a few year later to Eckerd College to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science where I learned to love the springs.

In addition to my teaching credentials, I have conducted research in marine geoscience, focusing on the impact of climate change on oceanic environments. This work has allowed me to contribute to various conservation projects, make jewelry from trash found on the ocean floor, and gain underwater videography skills. As the dive coordinator of the Marine Science Club at Eckerd College for 4 years I have logged many leadership skills in addition to hours underwater and working for 2 different dive shops and teaching in both California and Florida.

As I complete my undergraduate degree in Marine Geophysics I hope to combine my passions for the ocean, scuba diving, and conservation into a career while continuing to advance my technical diving skills and helping other learn to love scuba diving through patient and safety oriented instruction.
